Wildifre in the mountains above Los Angeles
Threat and danger to 10,000 homes
tripled in size on Saturday
So far 3 people burned, and at least three homes destroyed
Evacuation of 1000 homes
Evacuations in effect in Altadena, Glendale, Pasadena, La Crescenta and Big Tujunga Canyon
There are several other smaller fires burning in California. Including in Yosemite National park. This one is the largest.

Fire in East Bay, California - Summer 2009
Fire in California (again).
This time (August 14, 2009):
Vegetation Fire buring along the Alameda - San Joaquin county line.
As of now the fire is about 3000 acres and 10 % of it is contained according to an Alameda county fire spokes-person.
